CORTICORP
Finance and News. Team sheet as of 29 October 2026
What one person and a virtual team can run

Anyone can build an app in a weekend.
We built a staff.

Corticorp Finance and Corticorp News are two public sites written, checked, audited and improved every day by a team of AI roles who work with each other, argue with each other, and report to one human. The human merges. Everything else, the team does.

Two wings, one decision point

The team is split by what it is allowed to see. The Board reads the code and never the live data. The Newsroom reads the data and never the code. The operator sits above both and is the only one who can put anything into production.

Who reports to whom. Orange is the one human; every other colour is a wing of the AI team. The Board can propose anything and ship nothing. The Newsroom can publish prose and touch no code. Only the operator crosses the line between them.
A day in the building

How the sites get written

Every edition starts from stored numbers, not from a model's memory. The desks and the strategists work from the same history, the Editor reads what they wrote, the Auditor reads the record, and only then does a page go out with its chart and its share card.

Public data dozens of free feeds no paid terminals pulls The record every number kept with its history 44 strategists decide, and say why, in writing, on the record 7 desks write from the chart of the day; people named only from the news Editor reviews Auditor checks before anything publishes publishes The pages prose, chart, share card Marketer tunes the preview The Librarian research desk. only route to the web answers the desks' and the strategists' research questions
The route a number takes to the page. Nothing is written from memory. A desk that cannot find a cause in the record asks the Librarian, and a line that still has no cause does not lead the edition.
Rule of the house

Numbers measure the market. People move it.

Every line on the finance side names who did what, and the name comes only from a story the newsroom has actually read. Nobody on staff is allowed to invent a person.

Rule of the house

Reasons, never "no reason".

A move with no explanation in our data is handed to the Librarian. If nobody can source a cause, the fact runs lower down with why it matters, and never a shrug.

Rule of the house

Free, public, kept forever.

The whole operation runs on open public data, much of it federal. Everything fetched is stored with its history, so the team's work is reproducible and nobody's paywall can switch it off.

The part that is actually new

The team improves the team

Weekend apps stop improving when the weekend ends. This one files tickets on itself. The Board reads the codebase on a schedule, finds what is weak, writes it up as a work item with a rationale and a definition of done, and the Engineer builds it in a branch with tests. Then it stops, because it cannot merge.

That is the design, not a limitation. Specialists propose, one decision point approves. The operator reads the pull request, runs the gates, and merges. Over seven hundred and sixty items have gone through that loop, and the Board page on the site shows every one of them, including the ones the operator declined.

The experts are there to say no to the founder before the founder builds the wrong thing.

1. Board reviews code, data, security, AI 2. Files an item rationale, done-when 3. Engineer builds branch, tests, pull request 4. Human merges only gate to production 5. Ships live on both sites daily 760+ trips round No AI role can merge, push to production, or hold a key.
The improvement loop. Four of the five steps are the team's. The fifth is the human's, and it is the only one that reaches production.
The staff list

Who is on the team

The Board (reads the code)

System Architect
Owns the shape of the application: data model, boundaries, schedule, performance. Reviews what the others file.
AI Architect
Owns how the AI roles think: what each is shown, what it is asked, how its answers are scored against ground truth.
Security Expert
Standing audit of secrets, the admin surface, every outbound fetch, and every place a model's words reach a page.
Data Steward
Finds free public sources, reads their terms, checks the resilience of everything we hold, and files each gap with a proposed fix.
Software Engineer
The only role that writes code. Builds filed items in a branch with tests and opens a pull request. Never merges.

The Newsroom (reads the data)

The Editor
Chief of the writing desks. Directs them by note, reads every edition, and keeps the house rules on voice, facts and named people.
The Auditor
Reads the record, not the prose: stale feeds, unsupported claims, rationales that cite research nobody did.
The Librarian
The research desk, and the newsroom's one route to the web. Checks what we already know before anyone looks outside.
The Marketer
Discoverability: page metadata, previews, how an edition looks when it lands in a feed.
The Judge, Scientist and Treasurer
Reviewed the advanced strategies for evenness, experiment quality and spend.
44 Strategists
Simulated fund managers, one style each, from conservative to leveraged momentum. Each decides daily, in writing, and is scored on the public record.
